Sustainability and
Responsibility

Demand-led production
The cosmetics industry is built around large production volumes. Economies of scale lower unit costs: the larger the batch, the lower the cost of each individual product. Much of the market follows this logic.

Yet this carries a risk. What is produced in large volumes must also be sold. If stock remains, it may eventually be discarded. No matter how sustainable individual ingredients or packaging may be, this is a waste of resources.

As an independent brand, we take a different path. Because development and production remain in our own hands, we are not bound to the large minimum order quantities required by external manufacturers. For us, conserving resources begins where surplus does not arise in the first place.

We produce in small, demand-driven batches and avoid overproduction.

Packaging

We select our product packaging and promotional materials according to the principles of the circular economy: resource-efficient, made from recycled materials and recyclable. The cartons of our product packaging carry the Blue Angel ecolabel: the paper fibers are made from 100% recycled paper. Chlorine, optical brighteners and halogenated bleaching agents are excluded from production.

We source our cartons from an inclusive enterprise in our immediate region. This strengthens regional value creation and creates jobs for people with physical,
mental or cognitive disabilities.

Packing material

The packing material used for shipping is made from plant starch. It can be dissolved in water and is biodegradable.

Sustainable packaging remains an ongoing process for us. Together with suppliers, producers and researchers, we work on better solutions.
